Landmine Monitor

Landmine Monitor is the research and monitoring initiative of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) and the de facto monitoring regime for the Mine Ban Treaty. It independently and impartially monitors and reports on States Parties' implementation of and compliance with the Mine Ban Treaty, and more generally, assesses the international community's response to the humanitarian problem caused by landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW).

Research Products

Landmine Monitor produces an Annual Report, Executive Summary, CD-ROM, maps, fact sheets, and independently published country and area reports. The tenth annual Landmine Monitor report will be released on 21 November 2008.

Research Network

An Editorial Board assumes overall responsibility for, and decision-making on, the Landmine Monitor system. Landmine Monitor has a network of over 50 primarily in-country researchers, and a 20 person Editorial Team. Researchers come from the ICBL's campaigning coalition and from other elements of civil society.
